Companionship

Conversation and Company - Aged Care Elderly Companion In-Home Care

Having some company and someone to talk to can be just as important as having home help.

We can come to your home, spend time chatting with you, while helping hang out the laundry, re-potting a plant or changing a light bulb. Perhaps you'd like some help contacting a tradesperson for repairs. We could even reminisce looking through your photo albums or play a game of cards or crossword over a cup of tea and a chat.  We realise many people may be feeling anxious at going out by themselves for the first time in weeks and would like some support to adapt to changes brought on from the pandemic.  Whether it is purchasing through click and collect, in person, online or finally getting that coffee and meeting up with acquaintances.

We can help check your home for safety, ensuring doors and windows are secure and there are no trip hazards within your home.

Medical reminders

Are you diabetic or have high blood pressure? It's so easy to forget to take medication! Although we cannot legally administer medication, Sue to the rescue can be your reminder for medications to ensure you remain well.

At times when you're feeling under the weather and would feel safer having someone with you; we can stay with you at home and if necessary, arrange a GP appointment, accompany you to A&E or call 111 for an ambulance and wait with you - whichever is most appropriate.
