Conversation and Company - Aged Care Elderly Companion In-Home Care
Having some company and someone to talk to can be just as important as having home help.
I can come to your home, spend time chatting with you and while I'm there you might want some help hanging the laundry, re-potting a plant or changing a light bulb. Perhaps you'd like some help contacting a tradesperson for repairs. We could even reminisce looking through your photo albums or have a game of scrabbling over a cup of tea and a chat.
I can help check your home for safety, ensuring doors and windows are secure and there are no tripping hazards within your home.
Medical reminders
Are you diabetic or have high blood pressure? It's so easy to forget to take medication! Although I cannot legally administer medication, Sue to the rescue can provide regular reminders for medications to ensure you remain well.
If you inform us of severe allergies and you have a reaction while I am with you, I can administer an EpiPen® (epinephrine injection) if you carry one and I am aware of its location.
At times when you're feeling under the weather and would feel safer having someone with you; we can stay with you at home and if necessary, arrange a GP appointment, accompany you to A&E or call 111 for an ambulance and wait with you - whichever is most appropriate.
